Winter Intensive

2025 Intensive Dates: Dec 7-21

Still want some time for yourself during break but also want to get some shit together? Let's do it!

You pick the days and times we meet. You pick the priorities. I help you get them done!

Let's solve your

Problem of Practice

Not ready to commit to a full package but still have a problem of practice you want support with? I got you!

Whether it's a disagreement with admin, a struggling student you can't seem to reach, or a knowledge gap, let's solve it together!

Wanna know what it's like to be coached by me?

My coaching approach is...

Student-focused, anticapitalist, inclusive, and lovingly real <3

Student-focused & Anticapitalist

In fancy coaching words, my approach is considered "dialogical."

That means that I help you set goals that are personally motivating and student-centered. Instead of telling you what you should do, I offer my experience and knowledge as a starting point and you get to pick how we go about meeting your goal.

Regardless of your amount of teaching experience, whether it is 0 years or 20, I can leverage my wide breadth of expertise, inclusive perspective, and absolute passion for teaching to rekindle the fire within you and help you see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Part of my anticapitalist beliefs is a rejection of hierarchy. I am not “above” you, and if I act like I am please check me on that. We are here for the kids and we have to work together.

Inclusive & Lovingly Real

I know we’re different- AND we still have work to do.

What good is learning a new strategy if you don’t believe it will work? Experience has shown me that the reason professional development in schools doesn’t stick is because it doesn't come with a side of self-reflection.

You need to know yourself in order to know how to best move for students. If you know you are resistant to something, we can find ways to work through that resistance. If you don’t unpack what you think and feel about teaching, we’re all fucked 😰

Life happens, and we internalize beliefs all throughout its happenings for a variety of reasons. Socialization, all of the -isms, class status... Everything in our world shapes what we believe is possible. There are artists out there who don’t believe their art is worth making or sharing. There are also teachers out there that don’t believe all students can achieve highly.

I help you redefine what it means to achieve highly. I help you believe not only in your students, but also yourself. Through vulnerable reflection and data-based decision making, we can cut through the bullshit and get to the good shit- changing children’s lives.

Semester Coaching Package

You and me, 8 weeks of coaching to tackle whatever teaching throws at you.

In a Semester Package, we have multiple weekly touchpoints over eight weeks, refining your strategy in real time as you implement changes in your classroom.

Check out some examples to see how this approach would benefit educators of any tenure:

First- & Second-year teachers

⏰ Exit tickets giving you trouble? Let’s spend a coaching cycle working on strategies to refine your pacing and help your lessons stick.

🙉 First 10 minutes of your class is chaos? Let’s get down a strong start routine that feels good for you and your kiddos.

Third- & Fourth-year teachers

💭 You have the basics down but want your curriculum to work for you. I can help you get to know all the ins and outs of your curriculum and stop you from trying to reinvent the wheel to keep your kiddos engaged.

Veteran teachers

🧑‍🏫 You have your routines set and the content down, but want some help getting rigorous in your questioning. We can work out question stems that feel natural and help your students think deeply.

ALL THE THINGS

What's included?

check out the deets:

Goal-Setting

We'll start off our coaching cycle with a meeting to talk about your goals. Your goal(s) can be pretty much anything, but they tend to fall into the following categories:

Classroom management

  • Things like routines & procedures or harm reduction & restoration (behavior)

Content knowledge

  • Curriculum needs, your own background knowledge, etc.

  • This is also where my expertise in literacy comes in handy! I can help those who teach any subject, because all subjects teach literacy.

Instruction

  • Pedagogy & teaching practices

  • This includes goals around student engagement!

Assessment

  • Usually it’s crafting intentional formative assessment, like exit tickets, write-think-pair-shares, socratic seminars, you get the gist.

  • Sometimes, it’s looking at a summative assessment from a unit and deciding your re-teach plan.

One-on-Ones

We're gonna see a lot of each other :)

We will start our coaching cycle with an introduction & goal-setting session. Then:

  • We'll have weekly coaching meetings- we'll work out the timing together.

  • We will also have THREE data meetings in our eight weeks together in addition to our coaching meetings.

    • Data meetings will follow a scripted protocol, there will be pre-work involved on your end, and they will inform our choices during coaching. We'll choose the kind of data during our first meeting.

  • Our final wrap-up meeting will give us time to debrief our results and see if there's anything else you want to work on!

Extra Goodies!

During our semester together, you will also have access to:

  • Weekly artifact reviews- you send it to me and I provide feedback based on the goal you chose (you can choose a different artifact each week- lesson plan, student work, video of you teaching, etc)

  • Up to TWO customized planning templates!

  • Access to me via email & text for thought partnership and pep talks

  • FREE YEAR OF ACCESS to the Sunday Scaries cohort for cozy vibes every week

Extra super bonus:

  • If you're within 15 miles of DC, I will come observe or model in your classroom up to three times!

    (with your school's permission)

Hell yeah- sign me up for a semester!

I want to see what my students are capable of!

Winter Intensive

Let's get your spark back <3

Ahhh, so close I can taste it. Two sweet, luxurious weeks away from the chaos and bureaucracy of school.

When I was teaching, every single year without fail I desperately searched for ways to revamp my classroom, plan a really creative project, or do something else life changing in those two short weeks before the spring semester.

Then the break came. And I was exhausted. And I did not have it in me.

Only to return to school in January with New Planner Energy, wishing that I had the wherewithal over break to actually do those things I wanted to get done.

You deserve better than that endless cycle of burnout.

It's the middle of the year.

Some things have been going great, but others...not so much. In the winter intensive, we start with a goal-setting session where you download me on all your context and we make a plan for how to use our time to improve your work-life balance for the rest of the year. (or at least until testing 😬)

Let me help you get your shit together

We’ll use our SEVEN hours of one-on-one coaching to focus on something you want to start, improve, or finish.

TELL ME

What's included?

One 60-minute goal-setting session where we get to know each other, you tell me a little bit about your unique context and experience, and we put together a plan for our two weeks together!

3 hours per week of one-on-one coaching (three 60 min sessions or two 90 min sessions- up to you)

Revisiting routines & procedures plan, AND your choice of one of the following:

  • Novel study or unit plan

  • Field trip plan (just send me the paperwork and I do the research!)

  • Project-Based Learning Unit connected to the content or standards of your choice

  • A secret fourth option I haven’t thought of but you’ll talk to me about!

PLUS! A free semester of access to the Sunday Scaries Community 🥳

What could we work on?

  • Let’s plan the roll-out of your routines and procedures just like the beginning of the year. I even have a handy-dandy planning document to make sure all of your bases are covered.

  • Maybe you want to get kids engaged with a fun project but need the support to start or finish the plans. Outsource that boring research and behind-the-scenes stuff to me!

  • Do you have a unit coming up that you’re nervous about, and you want to be coached through digesting the content and to have a thought-partner for how to plan your instruction? I can help :)

🥺 I want to find my spark again 🥹

One-time session

Solution Sesh

Not ready to commit to a full package but still have a lil somethin' somethin' you want support with?

Teachers are asked to do the impossible. You are simultaneously a nurse, entertainer, shift manager, social worker, and more. AND you're supposed to do it all while somehow maintaining your sanity as well as the mental and physical wellbeing of the students in your care?!

IT'S TEW MUCH.

That's where I come in. Have a problem related to teaching? In just one session we can get that shit figured out.

What's included?

75 minutes of dedicated time to talk about, unpack, and find solutions to your problem of practice.

I have a research-backed protocol that I've used in the past with great success, but we can free range if you're feeling feral about it.

You also get 30 days of email support from me regarding the next steps we came up with during our session! Need help scripting how to talk to your principal about the thing or to vent about a child's response to the new class routine? I'll be there for you.

Sliding scale available! See product page for details.
