At the start of our work together, we’ll decide on a goal and which student data we'll use to measure our progress.
What we work on first is up to you–what would make the biggest tangible difference in the way you work with your students? What would give you more of your time and energy back? What do you really hate doing that I could help you simplify?
Hey...
Maybe you're a teacher because you had a great teacher as a kid (or the opposite 😬). Perhaps you took a service trip and learned you have an altruistic streak (lol, like me)
Any way you slice it, if you’re here, you are driven to do your best in service of the next generation.
After some time in the classroom, you might start wondering “how can we be asked to do our best when it seems that the schools aren’t trying their best?”
Schools across the nation seem to have figured it out- they (and only they) have the correct formula that will guarantee children will learn what they need to succeed “in college and career”
But curricula seem to be delivered from a dusty old box instead of being updated for the modern learner. Admin leans on you to improve your test scores, so all your novel ideas about how to teach a novel study go out the window in favor of rote memorization (gross).
It’s a bummer, to say the least.
Every single teacher deserves to become the impactful educator they dreamed of being. In a perfect world, every school district would provide professional coaching to keep dedicated, talented educators in front of students to share in the joy of learning.
But we live in America, so we invest in education just enough to teach an out-of-touch, white-washed curriculum for the kids in the middle of the bell curve.
book a TOTALLY FREE gab sesh so we can kick your burnout in the face
I’ve primarily worked with neurodivergent and disabled students throughout my career in Washington DC schools—and I fully believe that EVERY student is capable of engaging with grade-level content.
By coaching educators to be inclusive of their most divergent learners, they better meet the needs of ALL the students they serve.
(and, honestly, better communicators all-around)
Coaching requires you to get intimate with your core beliefs—even if they’re not fun to examine.
Don’t be afraid! I will be there alongside you to help take the sting out of sitting with our baked-in biases. 🫶🏻

"You created a culture of “we’re in this together.” There was an emphasis on mutual respect, shared responsibility, and celebration of wins—big or small. You also had a way of making people feel seen, which made the work feel more human and sustainable. It made me feel more connected to the school community and more willing to take instructional risks. "
6-8 Reading Interventionist
"Their ability to recognize the immediate needs of the teachers within the ELA department led us to coin the phrase “being J Reeded.” What this phrase means is that you come into a space with a concern or issue, and you leave the space with not only a solution but motivation to continue in the face of imminently more concerns and issues arising ever-presently."
8th ELA
"With your help, I refined how I planned my Do Nows and exit tickets, which led to stronger lesson pacing and more time on task. Students started meeting more of their growth goals, and I saw increased participation, especially from my struggling learners. The tweaks we made to my instructional routines had ripple effects across the board."
